MMC 1000 update — week of Oct. 24-30

Hi everyone:

As part of your current events quiz this week, I asked you to read the article I provided from American Journalism Review on community news sites.

While Ocala has a few smaller versions of those websites, there is currently no site in the city that provides the in-depth coverage of a particular area like those sites mentioned in the article.

So, I’d like you to write about what 5 things a possible community news sites in Marion County would need to include in its coverage. be as specific as possible.

For instance, as a homeowner, I’d like to see a weekly chart of the assessed home values in Marion County and how much home are selling for in a particular area.

So, I’d like you to come up with 5 things that a Marion County community news site should include in its coverage.
